Alexis defends clients charged with all types of criminal offences, with concentrated experience defending sexual assault, domestic assault, impaired driving and all types of Criminal Code driving offences. Alexis has a winning track record defending clients in both minor and complex cases and is known for her outstanding advocacy, calm courtroom presence, attention to detail, and commitment to protecting her clients’ rights at every stage of the process.
Alexis holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from York University. She completed her legal education at Bond University School of Law in Australia, where she volunteered regularly at a legal clinic assisting members of the public with active legal issues. That experience shaped her practical, client-centered approach to criminal defence and reinforced the importance of clear communication and strategic case planning.
She articled at a prominent Toronto criminal defence firm alongside experienced trial lawyers before beginning her practice. Since entering the profession, Alexis has worked exclusively in criminal defence and appears regularly in Ontario courts.
Outside of her practice, Alexis maintains an active lifestyle and values time spent with family and friends.

After being called to the Ontario Bar in 2022, Alexis gained valuable experience as an Associate Lawyer at a prominent criminal defence firm. By the time she joined Kruse Law Firm in 2024, she had already built a strong track record and developed a reputation for zealously advocating on behalf of clients facing serious legal challenges.
Before starting her career as a criminal defence lawyer, Alexis earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from York University. Her undergraduate studies provided a strong foundation in critical thinking and analytical skills, which have been pivotal in shaping her approach to the law and her legal career.
Alexis attended law school at the Bond University School of Law in Gold Coast, Australia commencing in 2017, where she further developed her legal expertise and advocacy skills. During her time in law school, Alexis volunteered weekly at a Legal Clinic. That experience profoundly influenced her approach to criminal defence. Alexis worked directly with clients facing a range of legal issues, which allowed her to refine her skills in case analysis, client counseling, and courtroom procedures. Interacting with clients from diverse backgrounds taught Alexis the importance of empathy, effective communication, and the need for a tailored defence strategy to meet each individual’s unique circumstances.
Upon graduating from law school in 2019, Alexis articled at Lafontaine & Associates in Toronto working alongside well-seasoned criminal defence lawyers. Since being called to the bar, Alexis has worked exclusively in the area of criminal defence and has successfully defended all types of Criminal Code offences including impaired driving, sexual assault and domestic assault.
Outside of the courtroom, Alexis leads a fulfilling and balanced life through various activities and interests. She is committed to maintaining a healthy lifestyle and enjoys going to the gym. Alexis also cherishes spending quality time with her family who are a source of joy and fulfillment for her.
